General Pest Control Maintenance Service
What is considered as PEST?
It is any living organism which is invasive or prolific, detrimental, troublesome, noxious, destructive, a nuisance to either plants or animals, human or human concerns, livestock, human structures or wild ecosystems. What is a GENERAL PEST CONTROL MAINTENANCE SERVICE?
General Pest Control Maintenance Service is a type of treatment that focuses in controlling/managing common household pests like (COCKROACHES, RODENTS, FLIES & MOSQUITOS) which are usually present in our homes, offices, warehouses and other structures. Since pests are ubiquitous, can transfer instantaneously, populate rapidly, and capable of mass reproduction, treatment for these pests should be done on a regular basis.
In relation to the above, we are offering an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) that will address your present and future pest problems. The IPM program focuses on the following aspects:
- Avoiding the entry of pests in the premises to PREVENT further pests’ infestation.
- Segregation of infested areas particularly the treatment methods and preventive measures of possible entries leading to non-infested areas by EXCLUSION.
- Identification and elimination of the source of food and water that sustain the pests’ survival, or simply called hygiene by proper SANITATION.
- TREATMENT using Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) and Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) approved chemicals is the last step that will be considered in achieving pest management as the IPM aims to manage pest problems at a maximum tolerate level with an ultimate goal of complete eradication using the least amount of chemicals.
Pests and Service Description
What are COCKROACHES?
Cockroaches are one of the most commonly noted household pest insects. They feed on human and pet food and can leave an offensive odor. They can also passively transport microbes on their body surfaces including those that are potentially dangerous to humans, particularly in environments such as hospitals. Cockroaches are linked with allergic reactions in humans. One of the proteins that triggers allergic reactions is tropomyosin. These allergens are also linked with asthma. Cockroach tops most of people’s nuisance pest list. They are food contaminants and can transfer diseases to humans.
A comprehensive treatment by dusting/spraying/gel baiting will be carried out within the premises, especially in the harbor ages and breeding places of cockroaches such as cabinets, cracks, crevices, plant boxes, machine rooms, storage rooms and drainages using chemicals with residual effect that will last for several days or weeks.
What are RODENTS? (rats and mice)
Rodents in general are very intelligent pests. They have keen smell, touch and hearing senses to locate food, pathway, and territories, even identify colony and non-colony members. They are nocturnal, neophobic creatures that are very cautious to baits, traps and can also detect contaminants within their food.
A comprehensive service throughout the premises based on a system of permanent/semi-permanent baits/bait stations and traps using the latest rodenticides and traps will be undertaken. These rodenticides and traps provide good control without presenting any hazard to products or personnel. However, if the degree of infestation should ever warrant it, we would supplement these measures with acute/chronic poisons.
What are MOSQUITOES?
Mosquitoes are one of the most grievous disease transmitting pests. They can carry viruses that are infectious, contagious and sometimes lethal. Some of the viruses they carry are dengue fever, yellow fever, poly-arthritis, rift valley fever, Ross river fever, West Nile viruses, elephantiasis and the deadly malaria virus.
At least 42,207 dengue cases, 193 of them being fatal, have been recorded by the Department of Health in the span of January 2013 to June 2013.
Misting/Fogging will be done inside and on the immediate perimeter of the premises. Hot mist/fog has proven to be the most effective method for the control of flies and mosquitoes.
What are LARVAE? (kiti-kiti)
Larvae’s are the second development in the life cycle of a mosquito. It is important to get rid of stagnant and standing waters to prevent breeding of mosquitoes thus, preventing potentially fatal diseases that larvae may carry.
Direct spraying of insecticide solution on breeding places/harbourages of larvae (places with stagnant water like: old tires, flower pots, etc.). Disposal of stagnant water after treatment.
